Please note:

  • We are only able to provide scans to persons over the age of 18.

  • The video recording has no audio capability.

You must still attend your routine scans with the NHS.

Preparing for your early scan

You can prepare for your Early scan by ensuring that you are properly hydrated in the 24 hours before your appointment. Please arrive with a full bladder.

Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete your paperwork.

Please bring your pregnancy notes with you. We may not need them, but it is helpful if our qualified Sonographers need to refer to them at any stage during your Early Scan.

It is sometimes necessary during the earlier stages of pregnancy to offer an internal scan. This is because it can be difficult to see the fetus via the abdomen at this stage. Many factors influence this (including hydration). Please ensure you arrive for your scan with a full bladder. As with all of our scans, you have the right to refuse or stop the procedure at any time.

Additional images, digital downloads of your scan images and a variety of products are available at Scan Baby to purchase on the day.
